The Pró-Fono chewing tubes are colorful chewing gum stimulators with an outer diameter of 5mm, designed to stimulate chewing and induce changes in lip muscle length, muscle tone (especially of the lips and tongue) and intraoral sensitivity.
Made from medical latex, they are available in pieces that add up to 30cm in length for the natural colored bands and 75cm in length for the colored bands.
The Pró-Fono chewing tubes are indicated for changes in lip muscle length, muscle tone (especially of the lips and tongue), intraoral sensitivity and when chewing gum stimulation is required.
Before use, the bands must be cut by the speech therapist into sizes that vary depending on the patient's mouth size and training goal.
It is recommended to start with bands with a smaller outer diameter and move on to larger bands as your muscles improve.
The chewing tubes can be used in a variety of ways, including placing them in the upper and/or lower lip compartments and gradually closing the lips, alternating between lip compartments, and inserting them between the teeth to perform chewing exercises.
