With a history dating back to 5500 years ago, Senet is a game of travel in which the player who first moves and removes their pieces along the length of the board wins. Application / Instructions

How to play?

The four wooden sticks act as dice (remember that the game is over 4000 years old!)

The player holds the sticks in a vertical position. When the player let the wooded sticks go, they fall and show their black or brown side.

The number is counted as follows:

One black side corresponds to 1

Two black sides equal 2.

Three black sides equal 3.

Four black sides equal 4.

Four brown sides correspond to 6.

It is not possible to roll the number 5.

playing field

The pieces are placed in the first horizontal row and move sequentially to the end of the third and final horizontal row, zigzagging from one row to the next. The first row extends from square 1 to square 10, the second row from square 11 to square 20, and the final row from square 21 to square 30.

field 16- Rebirth Field: Place where you return when you fall on field 27 (water field).

field 26- Lucky field: This is a safe field and the opponent cannot change the position of the piece on it.

field 27– Water field: If you fall on it, you automatically return to field 16 (rebirth field); if it is occupied, you return to the first field of the game board.

field 28- Field of 3 Truths: This is a protected field, but it is necessary to roll a 3 to leave it.

field 29- Field of Atum-Rá: This is also a protected field, to leave it you have to
roll a 2.

field 30– If you land on it, you have to wait one turn to move on. It is also a
protected field.

Regulate

The players take turns throwing the sticks until one of them rolls a 1. In this case, the first player places his pieces on the even squares (2, 4, 6, 8 and 10) and moves his pieces from square 10 to square 11.

This player throws the sticks again and continues throwing. Whenever the dice result is 1, 4 or 6, the player moves one of his pieces to the number rolled and throws
the sticks again.

If the result is 2 or 3, the player moves the pieces according to the number and passes the game to the opponent. The second player must move the piece to square 9 on his first turn.

In summary, the player keeps the initiative if he rolls 1, 4 or 6. If it is 2 or 3,
the initiative passes to the opponent.

Each square can only be occupied by one piece. If the target square of a piece is occupied by an opponent's piece, they swap positions, this is called an attack.

If two pieces belonging to the same player are in a row, they are protected and cannot be attacked.

If three pieces of the same player are in a row, they form a barrier and no
opposing piece can cross it or attack it. Pieces of the same player can pass the barrier.

If there is no possibility of moving a piece forward, the moves must be made backwards. If the target square is occupied by an opponent's piece, they exchange positions. When no more moves are possible, the initiative passes.

It is not allowed to remove pieces from the game at the beginning as long as the player still has one of his pieces in the first ten spaces.
