All liquids can be consumed daily using the Pró-Fono spiral drinking straw, regardless of their consistency.
The sucking movements should be wide-ranging in order to train all the oral muscles.
Precautions:
- The responsible speech therapist should supervise the transition from three to six and later to nine turns of the straw as soon as he or she determines that the patient is in a suitable condition.
- To clean the inside of the straws, simply run a jet of water through them after use. To clean the external surface, simply wash them with a sponge, water and soap.
- Danger:Never use boiling water as this may deform the product.
